Two people died on the spot in a tragic road accident on Sunday morning.
Two others were rushed to hospital in critical condition in the early morning road crash.
Reports indicate that two trailers collided head-on in Gilgil along the Nairobi-Nakuru highway.
Nakuru police boss Stephen Matu confirmed the incident, stating that the two who died were drivers of the ill-fated vehicles while the survivors were turnboys of the trucks.
One of the lorries was headed to Nairobi from Nakuru and the driver attempted to overtake before ramming into the other oncoming lorry.
The bodies of the deceased were transferred to the Gilgil sub-county hospital mortuary while investigations launched into the incident.
