The brutal murder of 28 year old Monica Nyawira Kimani has only added to a growing list of young ladies who have been victims of gruesome killings.

Ms. Monica Kimani’s body was found in a bathtub with her throat slit inside her house at Luaciane Apartments in Kilimani, hours after she landed from Juba South Sudan where she managed her family business.

A suspect Joe Irungu who was also her friend was arrested and charged over her killing.

2. Sharon Otieno

Sharon Otieno’s body was discovered two days after she was abducted while in the company of Nation journalist Barrack Oduor.

The 26 year old was said to have been narrating to Oduor a story where she accused Migori Governor Okoth Obado of impregnating her. Obado was arrested and charged over her killing.

3. Carol Ngumbu

The 21-year old was murdered alongside former IEBC ICT manager Chris Msando.

The two had been on a night out when unknown assailants kidnapped them, before torturing Msando and killing them both.

4. Mercy Keino

The 25 year-old students body was found dumped on Waiyaki way in June 2011 after she attended a party at Wasini Luxury homes in Westlands, Nairobi.

5. Careen Chepchumba

Careen Chepchumba was found dead in her apartment in Kilimani estate in February 2012.

6. Janet Wangui

Janet was killed in May 2018 in a police shooting incident at Nairobi’s City Park. The police fired 15 bullets into the car she was in together with her nephew who survived.

7. Endinal Nyainda

Endinal died in July 2016 after her boyfriend allegedly stabbed her severally in the stomach for threatening to leave him.
