In the biggest SURprise ever, Beau Clark and Stassi Schroeder, stars of Bravo’s Vanderpump Rules, are engaged (!!!). …And the proposal happened in a cemetery, which, if you’ve watched even one episode of the hit reality TV show, then you know it’s the most thoughtful way Beau could have popped the question to Stassi, who loves all things death-related and morbid. (I mean, she had a freaking exorcism last season, after all.)
But up there with her obsession with murder mysteries and gore (and SUR’s fried goat cheese balls), is my love her love for Beau—a quirky breath of fresh air who pretty much put all of Stassi’s previous, well, beaus to shame.
How about a quick refresher? There was Patrick who constantly spoke over and for Stassi, belittled her, and then broke up with her on their fourth anniversary. And while he certainly seemed like THE WORST, he was somehow one-upped by Mr. Jax Taylor, Stassi’s castmate and SUR bartender who swept the Next Level Basic author off her feet before cheating on her many, many times—including that time he slept with Stassi’s best friend, Kristen, another castmate and server at SUR. (Oh, and let’s not forget that Kristen’s boyfriend was in the next room!)
But all that relationship drama’s over now (jk jk, this is Stassi we’re talking about). The Straight Up With Stassi podcast host has finally found the one in Beau, which their friends and family were more than ready to celebrate following the proposal. According to Stassi’s Instagram Stories, after the couple had some one-on-one time at Stassi’s future resting place and she admired what she describes as a Downton Abbey-esque diamond (not bad, Beau), the pair headed to an intimate lunch hosted at Villa Rosa, a.k.a. Lisa Vanderpump’s house.
Based on social media and reruns of the series, if you ask me, Stassi and Beau will be together forever. But these aren’t things you just leave up to the #PumpRules gods. Instead, Terri Orbuch, PhD, author of 5 Simple Steps to Take Your Marriage From Good to Great and professor at Oakland University in Michigan, stepped in to analyze the couple’s body language to reveal whether this union, which started off in a cemetery, will see its end sooner than these two might expect.
