How Joho saved Ali Punjani from arrest – Weekly Citizen

Mombasa governor Ali Hassan Joho is the man who brokered the secret return of Mombasa tycoon Ali Punjani.

Using his new found love with President Uhuru Kenyatta and closeness to ODM leader Raila Odinga, Joho is said to have prevailed upon the two to sweet talk those in country security system not to harass Punjani with arrest threats as he was sickling.

Punjani is close to the Joho family and even donated police escort vehciles to the country to beef up security sometimes back.

Punjani also funded ODM Raila Odinga presidential campaign in 2017.

Raila organized for Punjani to land in Tanzania and sneak in Kenya without harassment after talking to Tanzania President John Pombe Magufuli.
