Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) stationed at Kenyenya in Kisii County have begun probe into an incident where a college student was beaten up at Bomachoge Borabu Constituenmcy Development Fund (CDF) office.
DCI, in a tweet posted after the video went viral, urged the victim to report to their offices in order to aid in “bringing all those involved to justice.”
The young man had reportedly gone to the CDF office to apply for bursary funds but was attacked by two supporters of the area Member of Parliament (MP).
The rowdy duo is alleged to have accused the man of criticising and opposing the MP dating back to the political campaign season.
The two men are, in the video, seen manhandling the student and slapping and punching kicking him several times throughout the 30-second clip.
One of them, at one point, even picks up a piece of wood and hits him with it.
All this despite efforts of a few individuals also on scene to calm them down and plead with them to let the young man go.
The video has since sparked angry reactions from Kenyans on social media.

A university student went to a CDF office in Bomachoge, to follow up on his bursary progress, & he was instead clobbered mercilessly by the officers and is now fighting for his life. Days later, nobody has been arrested. It now obvious that the cartels are running this country!
