A section of political leaders who hinted that they would purchase a land to resettle Mau evictees as they pursue legal matters have gone silent on the matter keeping those affected in limbo.
The politicians led by Kericho senator Aaron Cheruiyot accused the government for evicting people from Mau yet they have lived there for years.

The politicians were speaking during a fundsdrive meeting in aid of a conference hall for Chelilis African Inland Church in Bureti subcounty.
The MPs that were hosted by clerk to the national assembly Michael Sialai included Kericho county women rep Florence Bore, Japhet Mutai (Bureti), Brighton Yegon (Konoin), Paul Nzengu (Mwingi North), James Wamacuru (Kabete), Rahab Mukami (Nyeri) and Purity Ngirichi (Kirinyaga).
The Kalenjin legislators have in the past accused the government for failing to protect forest evictees saying they will file a case in international court.
Senator Cheruiyot promised that they will pursue the case until the over 3,000 people will get justice.
The legislators did not disclose where they have purchased the land to settle the evictees as they pursue a court case to push the government to settle them in alternative land.
The MPs questioned why the state had failed to talk on the subject saying it is unfortunate that Uhuru Kenyatta has remained silent on the subject.
