Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored his eleventh goal of the season during Arsenal’s victory over West Ham United at the London Stadium.
The Gunners clinched their first win in the Premier League with the away victory despite trailing by a lone goal in the first half of the encounter.
Having grabbed the winning goal of the fixture, the Gabon international has revealed that interim boss Freddie Ljungberg asked the players step up their game at half-time to inspire the comeback.
Arsenal went on to produce a superb performance with three beautiful goals which sealed the win to ease pressure on them from fans.
Angelo Ogbonna scored the opener for the hosts in he first half, before youngster Gabriel Martinelli equalised for the Gunners in the 60th minute.
Nicolas Pepe handed the Gunners the lead six minutes later, before Aubameyang completed the comeback in the 69th minute.
“At half-time, Freddie told us to play with a higher tempo. It was tough but we have the quality in the squad, and if we believe in ourselves, we can go forward and win games,” Aubameyang was quoted saying after the match.
“We will take this second half as an example for the rest of the season,” the Gabonese hitman added.
