The bodies of the 14 pupils of Kakamega Primary School who died on Monday following a stampede have arrived at Bukhungu Stadium for a funeral mass.
The service will be conducted by different denominations drawn from the Kakamega pastor’s fellowship.

Security has been beefed up at the stadium with thousands of mourners in attendance.
Security is being provided by the police and county askaris.

First Aid is also being provided by Red Cross, St John’s Ambulance and doctors from Amref.
Kakamega Primary School will remain closed for a week to pave way for investigations into stampede that left the 14 pupils dead.

He promised to make public the outcome of the investigations by Monday.
He said the pupils deserve a one week break to come to terms with losing their colleagues and urged residents not to interfere with the normal operations of the school when it reopens.
