Tanzanian singer Juma Jux is talk on social media up after he gifted his manager Raymond Maziku Sh740,000 (Tsh16 million)  to mitigate the impact of coronavirus.

Making the donation public via his Instagram page, Jux stated that the grand birthday token was also a thank you gesture to Maziku for standing by him over the years.

Expressing hope for a better tomorrow, Jux explained that his longtime manager is a hard worker who despite the impact of Covid-19 could have propelled his career further.

“Nachokukubali mwanangu bishoo ila unapiga sana kazi salute. More life my brother tumetoka mbali sana na safari bado ndefu, siku yako imekutana na ramadan na corona ila nadhani unaju ingekuwa vipi but all and all angalia bank account yako baada ya lisaa then nipigie,” wrote the Unaniweza heartthrob.

When he checked his bank account as directed by Jux, Maziku –in his page, publicly revealed that the token was no fluke and posted account balance that he said reflected the above donation from his boss.

“Asante sana ndugu yangu @juma_jux dah imagine @edward_nyerere sijategemea aisee kwa kipindi hichi cha corona. Cc: @johmakinitz @gnakowarawara nazima simu zangu zote sifuturu leo,” posted Maziku.

With deep pockets and talent to match, Jux is firmly grounded as a Bongo A-lister. His heart is however unsettled.

In an interview with veteran Kenyan radio presenter Shaffie Weru weeks ago, the singer narrated that he and Thai model Nayka parted ways earlier in the year after months of dating over distance.

“It didn’t work out. Long-distance is so difficult; I can’t. Now, sitaki wanawake wa mbali. Wanawake wa mbali siwawezi anymore,” said Jux under a year after he called it quits with singer Vanessa Mdee alias Vee Money.

He added: “Nayka was from Thailand. I had known her for a while then we got serious. The thing is, distance; she can’t move here, I can’t move there. We got to a point it became too much. I personally dislike video calls, chatting every time- so it became difficult.”
