Tanzanian musician and Vanessa Mdee’s former lover, Juma Jux has revealed that he is among the few Tanzanian artists who pay the most taxes.
This, he says is due to his ever growing, African Boy, clothline business.
Juma Jux revealed this during an Instagram Live chat session with fellow Tanzanian artist, Ben Pol. He spoke in details regarding the success he is enjoying through his African Boy clothline business.
“Mimi ni mmoja kati ya wafanyabishara na wasanii ambao wanalipa kodi kubwa, mimi kontena yangu moja nalipa tsh milioni 26 mpaka 27 na kwa mwaka naingiza kontena mbili mpaka tatu,” He said.
The total sum of three containers, amounts to 81 million Tanzanian shillings which is equivalent to 3.7M Kenya shillings in taxes.
Jux has two wholesale shops, one in Kariakoo, Tanzania while the other one is in Uganda. He says that his dream is to expand his business across Africa and overseas.
The musician says that he is the sole owner of the business adding that once the business expands and he might consider selling a few stakes.
