124 more people have tested positive for COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, bringing the total tally to 2,340 the number of positive cases in Kenya.
Health Cabinet Secretary Mutahi Kagwe on Thursday said Mombasa has the highest number with 40 cases and Busia has 26 cases all truck drivers.
The positive cases include, 119 Kenyans, 2 Somalis, 2 Tanzanians and one Eritrean National.
Nairobi has 38, Kajiado 6, Kiambu 3, Garissa 2, Taita Taveta 2, Muranga and Elgeyo Marakwet 1 case each.

According to the CS, 87,698 samples were tested in the past 24 hours.
Elgeyo Marakwet becomes the latest county to report a COVID-19 case, bringing the total number of counties that have been affected to 36.
40 cases in Mombasa are from; Mvita 14, Kisauni 11, Changamwe 6, Jomvu and Nyali 1 case each.
Nairobi cases are from; Kibra 25, Kamukunji 4, Dagoretti North 5, Westlands 2, Langata and Embakasi East, one case each.
The CS further stated that 39 patients had since been discharged bringing the total number of recoveries to 592.
However, four patients have succumbed bringing the tally of fatalities to 78.
