June 22, 2020 is a happy and exciting and blessed day in Betty Kyallo’s house. Her daughter, Ivanna turns six today.
A year ago this week, Betty thought she was going to lose her only child. Her baby girl spent one and a half months in ICU and with each day passing, the former K24 news anchor thought it was only getting worse.
The grace of God visited their family and Ivanna made it out of the hospital and is now a healthy baby as she slowly recuperates.
The thought of all this got Betty emotional and she could not hold back her tears as she recorded the video for her YouTube channel, Betty Kyallo Lately.
After the emotional segment on her video, they threw a lavish intimate party for Ivanna and guess who was present, Dennis Okari. The two have really worked on their co-parenting relationship.
He was given the chance to wish Ivanna a happy birthday and he went deep. In fact, before then, he shed a tear or two just drowning in it all.
Dennis Okari got down on his knees to wish Ivanna a great year ahead and to declare his love for her.
“OKAY, IVANNA. LOOK AT ME. DO I GO ON MY KNEES?” He goes down and says, “I WILL BE THE FIRST MAN TO GO ON MY KNEES FOR YOU. BEFORE THAT OTHER BOY COMES. SO, LISTEN. YOU ARE THE MOST INTELLIGENT, SMARTEST, BEAUTIFUL AND PRECIOUS DAUGHTER ANYONE WOULD WANT IN THIS WORLD. I LOVE YOU. LOVE YOU. LOVE YOU SOOO MUCH. HAPPY BIRTHDAY. MAY YOU ENJOY MANY MANY MORE. I PRAY FOR GOD’S BLESSINGS ON YOUR LIFE. YOU ARE GOING TO IMPACT YOUR GENERATION.”
The camera was focused on Ivanna and her father but behind all these amazing and deep words, Betty Kyallo got emotional and was crying. A moment she never thought would ever come.
She mentioned to Jalas in her last interview that she is all grown now and she realized that there is more to life that she and Dennis.
And this is their daughter and so she opened up a space for her to have time and receive love from her father.
