The Kenya’s football second tier National Super League (NSL) will conclude on Sunday 24 with eight matches lined up across various venues in several parts of the country.

Champions elect Administration Police Service (APS) Bomet will host promotion hopefuls Murang’a Seal who are third on the log on 64 points having beaten former giants Shabana 1-0 on Monday at St Sebastien Park.

APS Bomet head coach Charles Odera said his charges have played like warriors the entire season in a label to praise the resilience that drove them to NSL glory.

He also revealed that he is looking to bolster his squad ahead of the new campaign by signing two or three players to strengthen his side in readiness to compete for top flight football.

“I want to congratulate my boys for the focus and determination they displayed in bagging this title which guarantee our elevation to KPL next season. We ard ready for the uphill task ahead and I seek to strengthen various departments through transfer signings which will help us compete well in the top tier.I’m still here and heading nowhere,I have unaccompanied mission in Bomet and together we’ll achieve it” he said.

Murang’a Seal tactician Vincent Nyaberi is upbeat about their ability to finish their season as runners-up ahead of their clash on Sunday at the IAAF Bomet Stadium.

“We are still hopeful because we will make it to the top flight next season, my boys are in good spirits and ready for the match on Sunday. We are going for nothing but a win. We’re not under pressure and my players know how huge and significant this game is and they will strive to give it their all” noted Nyaberi

With APS Bomet having already been declared champions, only one automatic promotion to the topflight league remains, with the team which finishes third participating in play-off against Wazito who finished 16th in the FKF-PL

The Kirinyaga-based Fortune Sacco which sits second on the 20 team standings will lock horns against Gusii United at the Green stadium in Kericho county.

The Independent Disciplinary and Appeals Committee (IDAK) overturned an earlier decision which had awarded a walkover victory to Shabana FC for their abandoned tie against Fortune.

The match between Fortune Sacco and Mully Children’s Foundation (MCF) on Monday this week had a dramatic ending after the latter walked out of the pitch after Fortune were awarded a penalty in the 88th minute with the scores tied at 1-1 at Kianyaga Stadium in Kirinyaga County.

Former Kenya Premier League side Muhoroni Youth will be battling for a promotion play-off slot when they face Shabana at the Ole Ntimama stadium in Narok county.

In their previous fixture, they beat APS Bomet 1-0 through a Dickson Raila’s lone strike in the first half at Muhoroni Sub County Stadium.
