Gatundu South remains calm as electoral materials get dispatched

Gatundu South Deputy County Commissioner Stanely Kamande has affirmed that there is adequate security ahead of Tuesday’s general election.

Kamande who held a meeting with security agents said all polling centers will be manned and there should be no cause for alarm.

According to Kamande, Gatundu South in Kiambu County has remained calm during the campaigns and there are no major security concerns ahead of the elections.

He said every polling station will be manned by two police officers noting that the tallying center will be adequately secure with more police officers on location.

He has called on Kenyans to come out in large numbers to exercise their democratic right of choosing the preferred leaders.

IEBC officials at the Gatundu South tallying center spent the day sorting the election materials and dispatched them to the respective polling centers.
