Hon Tim Wanyonyi of Orange Democratic Party has clinched Westlands member of Parliament seat for the third time consecutively.
Tim garnered 58,408 votes.His close rival Nelson Havi of UDA came second with 19,000 votes.
Tim applauded the Westlands electorates for electing him for the third term promising massive development in the area.
“I feel the confidence that the people of Westlands had bestowed in me it shows that for the last two terms that I have served them there is something that they liked in me, today I have been given a new mandate to serve them again.” Tim said.
Tim beat Havi in each polling station a clear indicator that he was the constituency’s favourite candidate.
“They say the turnout was about 83,000 and i have managed to get 58000 and these are the people who came out and expressed themselves and made a decision which I believe that maybe in the whole country i may be the only elected leader who won in the whole polling stations….I won in each polling station they announced.” He added.
