Police have arrested four suspects linked to the murder of Mr. Keagan Githua, 24.
Mr. Githua was stabbed to death on October 30, at Ridgeways, Kiambu County, by two robbers on a motorbike.
In a statement, the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) said that sleuths attached to Starehe Sub-County arrested the first suspect at a city toilet along River Road in the Central Business District. (CBD).

They then headed to Githurai, where they arrested the three suspects before recovering a phone stolen from Mr Githua.
“This is after a detailed analysis of the gang’s modus operandi, was conducted by sleuths based at the Crime Research and Intelligence Bureau, who have since established that the gang operates from Githurai area,” the report read in part.
The statement revealed that sleuths are currently within the Githurai area and are still searching for more gang members.
Mr. Githua was stabbed to death in broad daylight in an incident that attracted the attention of the Garden Ridgeways Residents Association (Garra).

They then organized a vigil that kicked off from Ridgeways Baptist Church and headed to the spot where the deceased was stabbed.
The one-kilometer walk involved singing hymns, reading scriptures, praying, and lighting candles. All this culminated with the laying of wreaths at the murder scene.
He was laid to rest on Tuesday, November 9.
The arrests come just four days after Inspector General of Police Mr. Japeth Koome said he would deal with criminal cases within the city.

A report released last week dubbed Criminal Activity Trends revealed that there had been a rise in crime within the city in the recent past.
The report stated that there had been a steady rise in armed and opportunistic robberies in residential and commercial areas across Nairobi.
Kenyans on social media decried the rising level of crime in the city.
The damning report stated that rampant muggings were ongoing within the Nairobi Central Business District (CBD) and along busy roads, despite frequent operations conducted by the police surveillance team based in the city.

It stated that on November 4, 2022, police officers arrested at least 200 motorcycle taxi operators linked to criminal activities across the city.
“Additionally, despite the high levels of private security man-guarding and vehicle patrol teams across the city, domestic burglaries and muggings remain a serious security concern in Nairobi. Affluent areas such as Kilimani, Karen as well as low to middle income settlements in Eastlands,” the report read in part.
