Suspected Al-Shabaab recruits freed – Daily Nation

Seventeen youths who were detained by a Kwale court over suspicion that they were Al-Shabaab recruits have been discharged on Monday.

Last week, the court allowed police to hold the youths for seven days pending completion of investigations after claiming that the suspects were headed to Somalia to join the Al-Qaeda linked terrorist group.

The suspects, among them two women, were arrested in a two-bedroom house in Samburu, Kwale County.
