Former Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko on Sunday rescued stranded Pwani University students who survived the 30th March accident.

The former governor gave the students an additional Ksh100,000 for meals and snacks to carry them through their journey to Mombasa.

“I also gave them some pocket money for meals and transport to their final destinations. I wish all the other survivors admitted in various hospitals a quick recovery,” he stated.

In addition, Pwani University student leader stated that the former governor and the president were the only individuals who had intervened in their situation thanking Sonko for his generosity.
