Tanzanian rapper and politician Joseph Haule popularly known as Professor Jay is back after being hospitalized for a year with 127 days in the ICU.
He took on social media today after more than a year’s absence.

Taking to his Instagram, the zali za mentali rapper shared his first photo, a pale shadow of his former self and sent flowers to all those who stood by him during the darkest period while also anchoring his faith in God.
“Salam Ndugu zangu,Kwanza namshukuru sana Mungu aliye hai kwa uponyaji na kunipa nafasi nyingine ya kuendelea kuwa hai,Hali yangu ilikuwa mbaya isiyoelezeka,Asante sana Mungu baba (nitakutukuza na kukusifu siku zote za maisha yangu)” He stated
Hails President and Government’s Support
He went ahead and poured his heart out to President Suluhu and her government who took it upon themselves to cater for his treatment and medical bills not only in Tanzania but also abroad.
He maintained that that was a rare act of kindness seeing government and the ruling party (C.C.M) officials paying him a visit while vouching for his healing.Indeed that was a higher level of humanity displayed as Professor Jay is affiliated with the opposition,Chadema party.

“Pili kipekee namshukuru sana Mhe.Rais wa Jamhuri ya Muungano wa Tanzania Mama yetu Dr. Samia Hassan Suluhu na serikali yake kwa kunigharamia matibabu yangu yote ya Muhimbili na nje ya nchi,Asante sana mama pamoja na serikali yako yote kwani viongozi wako wa chama na serikali walikuwa wanapishana kila siku kuja kuniona na kunifariji” He continued
He went further and thanked his party’s (Chadema) top brass for their cooperation with the government in seeing that he received the best treatment not forgetting the doctor’s and nurse’s who attended to him during his year long battle characterized by 127 days at the intensive care unit (I.C.U)

Professor Jay also noted the huge part played by his fellow countrymen through their donations towards his medication before the government stepped in, maintaining that their deed is forever etched in his heart.
Last but not least,he showed gratitude towards media house’s and men of cloth, pastor’s and sheikh’s for their prayers during the tumultuous period.
They say, Family is everything and Professor Jay further clung to it as he thanked his wife, brothers and sisters for their undying love.
“Nitakuwa mchoyo wa fadhila nisipoishukuru familia yangu mke wangu,kaka zangu,dada zangu wadogo zangu na familia yote ya Mzee Haule kwa ushirikiano mkubwa na upendo mlionipa” He stated.
As at now, Professor Jay confirmed that he was glad to have healed and was doing quite well.
“Kwa sasa nipo imara na ninaendelea vizuri sana Mungu ni mwema sana siku zote🙏🙏🙏” He summed up partly.
Professor Jay is a pioneer rapper in Tanzania and is regarded for transforming the bongo flava sound and also inspiring the current crop of artists.
He is best known for his educative lyricism through his unmatched storytelling ability.
This is evident through song’s like Zali za mentali, Nikusaidiaje and Kipi sijasikia among others.
The 47-year-old became an Mp through Chadema party in 2015 representing Mikumi constituency before being trounced in 2020 by Denis Lazaro of the ruling party C.C.M (chama cha mapinduzi)
