Jegede has been missing in the game for a while but it is all for the best.
After leaving the group Everlast, he decided to go solo under Pacho records as a producer and songwriter.

well, it is still there I just decided to start my own thing aside from Everlast. for now, I don’t think we will jump in studio any time soon because we are working on solo projects
dealing with a group is hard. we were not so strong as a group, there was an imbalance. we were supposed to be in the studio on time and there was friction because some people felt they were stars more than others. A whole year I kept saying I will leave because it was becoming too much
Jegede clarified that it had nothing to do with financial issues as many would assume:
we never had financial issues. the biggest issue was commitment and discipline. we were strong as a dancing group but not as artistes
It still surprises him that he has come this far. A boy born in Busia and made it to Nairobi by bus.
this year I have done a lot of work for big artistes including Naiboi, Rosa, Otile and many others. It’s a privilege coming from Busia to Nairobi and I having come this far
Jegede came in studio with his stylist saying he is changing the music game to make sure they fuse the two and make it creative.

Before the interview ended with his new hit song, Bujubuju cut Shaffie Weru short saying he wanted to confess his love for a certain lady.
I’ve been admiring this girl for a long time and I am not looking for kiki. She is a girl who likes light skins which is a problem for me. There is a way I am seeing men using this girl the wrong way. I will love her like she is supposed to be loved.
I am not joking, I want you to understand the seriousness of the matter. We’ve met a couple of times in studio and in video shoot but she was in a relationship then. now she is single so…(after long silence) I want Vera.
So considering that Otile and Jegede are friends, can’t this bring friction? It will not bring issues because well, Otile has moved on from Vera.
