High court on Thursday reduced former National Lands Commission chairman Muhammad Swazuri’s cash bail from 12 million shillings to 7 million shillings.
The 30 million shillings bond issued by the High court was also been reviewed downwards to 15 million shillings.
Swazuri had sought a review of his release terms by the Anti-Corruption Court in the 109 million shillings corruption case that he and several others are facing.
According to his lawyer Swazuri said the 12 million shillings cash bail or 30 million shillings bond imposed by Chief Magistrate Lawrence Mugambi was unjust, unreasonably high, exorbitant and in contravention of Article 49 of the Constitution.
