Kwanthanze High School retained its county volleyball girls title in Tala High after beating and humiliating struggling Vyulya Girls by straight sets (25-10,25-6,25-9).
Perhaps as a show of mismatch between the two sides, the match took less than 20 minutes to end.
In a post match interview, Kwanthanze captain Rebecca Mwendwa said that to them all the matches seemed like a walkover or rather a practicing session owing to the little opposition they got.
“The games were not challenging at all to us,” she said, adding that their target is to retain their East and Central Africa champion title.
Elsewhere, Machakos Boys retained the boys U16 football title besides winning the crown in the U19 category and will be aiming to do well in the regional games set for June 19-22nd.
In volleyball, Kwathanze and Kibauni Secondary emerged the winners in the girls and boys categories respectively.
Table tennis title was claimed by Mwala School (boys) and Muthsya Secondary (girls).
The winners will now plot for better performances at the regional event set for Makueni Boys.
