The National Transport and Safety Authority on Thursday evening cracked the whip on 51 driving schools with branches operating countrywide, for failing to comply with Traffic Driving School Rules.
On the statement attached on its twitter page, the NTSA stated that it undertook Driving School License Revalidation exercise to assess whether the institutions had complied with required rules. This it said was driven towards weeding out schools operating without meeting the set requirements.
The driving schools which have had their licences revoked are based in Nairobi, Embu, Kisii, Kisumu, Kakamega, Mombasa, Embu, Nakuru, Garissa, Thika, Kiambu, Bungoma, Murang’a, Eldoret, Marsabit, and Machakos counties.

The NTSA has also warned the members of the public against enrolling in the listed driving schools because they are not accredited.
