Kenya’s fast rising tennis player Albert Njogu will face perennial nemesis Abdoul Shakur Kabura of Burundi in the finals of the ongoing 10th Kenya international junior championship at Nairobi Club.
Njogu defeated Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk of Namibia while Kabura saw off Ming Chien Chiu of Taiwan in the semifinals.
Albert Njogu once again reigned supreme as the 10th Kenya international junior championship entered the penultimate stage at Nairobi Club.
Njogu had to dig deep before trouncing a resilient Connor Henry Van Schalkwyk of Namibia in the semifinals.

Van Schalkwyk displayed outstanding skills in the first set and capitalized on Njogu’s unforced errors to win the set 6-4.
Bouyed by a paltry crowd the Mbagathi High School student came back fighting in the second set which he easily won 6-0 to send the match into the third set.
Njogu broke Van Schalkwyk’s serve in third set and despite a spirited fight from his opponent he held on to bag the set 6-4 to advance to the finals.
In the second semifinal, Burundi’s Abdoul Shakur Kabura trounced Ming Chien Chiu of Taiwan by two straight sets of 6-0 and 7-5 to qualify for the finals.
The championship is used to help players accumulate points that will help them improve their World rankings.
