Users of Samsung’s latest premium smartphone series, the Galaxy Note 10, may have felt left out when Samsung announced the start of a wider testing phase for Android 10 on its flagship Galaxy S10 series.

The company, which has a history of ignoring the Galaxy Note when it comes to public beta testing programmes (the Note 9 did get included in the beta but much later after the S9), seems set to reverse course in coming days.

An announcement on the company’s community pages notes that the Galaxy Note 10 series is also part of the Android 10 beta which is notable for its inclusion of Samsung’s upcoming new user interface, One UI 2.0.

Interestingly, the banner posted on the community pages, in Korean no less, only mentions two variants of the device: the Galaxy Note 10 5G and the Galaxy Note 10+ 5G.

So, what’s the deal with the non-5G variants of the Galaxy Note 10 family?

That is not clear at the moment but fingers are crossed that beyond Korea, Samsung will open up the beta to other variants as well. The opposite could be true as well: Samsung making the beta available to the non-5G variants and not availing it on the 5G devices. Nothing is given at the moment, at least as far as the information publicly available goes. We have a few days to find out more.
