Four Azimio protesters have been arrested in Nairobi Central Business District. The four were arrested just next to National Archives Building along Tom Mboya Street.
A group of Azimio MPs were also tear-gassed in front of Harambee House building.
The police accosted them with few supporters and security details.They were repulsed and the area is now under tight security.
“Ni teargas Kila mahali hio sio serikali tunataka kunnadamana ni haki yetu we must protect our constitution but we want to assure them even if they teargas us we shall not relent change is coming,” Protester said.
Streets deserted
Meanwhile many streets in the CBD remained deserted better part of the day with Kenyatta Avenue, Cityhall Way, Mama Ngina Street Koinange street, Loita street and Muindu Mbingu street.
According to the traders who spoke to Ghetto Radio they fear looting by the demonstrators.
“Mimi nilikam asubui nikapata hakuna usalama ya kutosha na nauza masimu hiyo huwezi risk hao vijana wakipata Mali Yako wananyakua..tunaomba Raila na Rais wetu wakae chini waonge tunalipa maduka na imagine kama leo hakuna nimeuza,” Rachael phone vendor said.
