Bahati is slowly but surely learning the game on how to respond to trolls.
Khaligraph Jones released a song, Hao featuring Masauti and it is a hit, kama kawaida. The OG basically addressed how being a celebrity in Kenya is so hard because once you make it, people will do anything to dim your light without considering the person’s feelings.
He goes ahead to mention a few names of people who have gone through major trolling including Mulamwah, who had opted to quit comedy as a career. It was no longer making him and his family happy.
Khali in the song also throws a line mentioning Bahati and how his title changed from mtoto wa mama to mtoto wa Diana, his wife.
“Being a celebrity you have to sacrifice. You apologize to people you have not offended (preach). If you are soft-hearted they will say it is biased. If you are hard-hearted you just have to get used to it. They will abuse you so that you get mad and then they laugh at you. Too much gossip and when you fall they kick you. Being a celebrity will cost you a lot because once they know you it is a problem.

Of course this got Bahati’s attention and he decided to respond which is rare for him to respond to trolls. He said he loves being mtoto wa Diana.

In solidarity, the mother of his children supported him saying,

At least they made the best out of the comment and trolls from social media. The best way to silence haters is to show them it does not hurt because then they will not have achieved their purpose which is to bring you down.
