Former multiparty crusader and business mogul Nginyo Kariuki died at Aga Khan Hospital.
His family announced his death on Monday morning.
The late Lawrence Nginyo Kariuki was an astute and successful businessman who is associated with Nginyo Towers on Koinange Street, Nairobi and Lenana Hotel.
He will be remembered as a long standing politician who was instrumental in Kenya’s quest for multiparty democracy.
Nginyo was also the founder member of The National Alliance Party (TNA).
He was a renowned golfer who pioneered African golf in Kenya.
