Of late quite a number of artistes from the secular industry have been joining the gospel industry and it seems the trend won’t stop anytime soon.

But are these artistes moving to the gospel for the money, airplay or is it a call from God?

Well, in the local music industry, we’ve seen several artistes both men and women ditch secular for the gospel.

From Size 8 to Amani, meet the former secular queens whose angelic voices are changing the lives of many and winning souls to Christ after joining the gospel industry.

The singer, whose real name is Linet Munyali Muraya got born again in 2012 and since then, she has never looked back.

Many people refused to take it that I really got saved. After releasing Mateke, I even received opposition from some church members who said it was nothing gospel. Then the devil started attacking me. How do you explain waking up at night to see black hooded men around you? … At some point I gave up and told God that I wanted Him to take me home. I was done with being here on earth,’ she said in a past interview.

Adding,

Salvation is the best thing that ever happened to me. When I left the secular world, I was so sure that I had made a suicidal move and I left it all to Jesus. It was a lucrative business back then, but I knew that God would bless me, eventually, according to his word,

The Mateke singer later gave away her car to receive Christ when she got saved. Married to gospel TV video jockey, DJ Mo, the couple is blessed with one kid.
