The Council of Governors has unanimously re-elected Kakamega governor Fernandez Barasa as the Chair of the powerful Finance, Planning and Economic Affairs Committee.
A vividly elated Barasa described his reelection as a huge vote of approval in his leadership for the last one year.
Kirinyaga governor Anne Waiguru also re-elected CoG chair unopposed, to be deputized by Wajir governor Ahmed Abdullahi.
” I wish to congratulate H.E Hon. Anne Waiguru, EGH , on her re-election as the Chairperson, ” Barasa stated.
The Kakamega County boss, recently voted as the top performing governor in the country, assured Kenyans a robust, transformative and dedicated leadership aimed at deepening the gains of devolution.
