NAIROBI, Kenya, Feb 1- A funeral committee has been constituted to make burial arrangements of the late George Magoha, following the burial of his younger brother, Richard  Magoha, on Saturday last week.

The spokesperson for the family and funeral committee and the former Basic Education and Early Learning Principal Secretary Julius Jwan on Wednesday said that the meetings are on course, so as to ensure that they accord the late a befitting sendoff.

The committee according to Jwan includes family members, Magoha’s colleagues and friends in the former and current administration, as well as in academia and the medical field.

“A funeral committee has been constituted and is meeting to finalize arrangements. Funeral arrangements are proceeding apace, particularly after the interment of Magoha’s younger brother,” Jwan stated.

Jwan also expressed the family’s gratitude for the support they have received from President William Ruto, former President Uhuru Kenyatta and Azimio leader Raila Odinga.

Magoha’s burial date hasn’t been officially announced, but some members of the family had hinted that it might be on the 11th of February.
