Here are the five designers nominated for this year’s Kenya Fashion Awards

Kenya Fashion Awards is an initiative which honours and celebrates outstanding performance and excellence in fashion by recognizing and awarding the most talented in the industry. The purpose of the Awards is to honour Kenyan talents who have made a significant contribution to the country’s fashion industry. This includes designers to fashion photographers, models, stylists, make-up artists, marketers, retailers, choreographers, fashion & design students and fashion writers.

Here are the five designers nominated for this year’s Kenya Fashion Awards.

Aulgah Nato

Where: Nairobi

Aulgah’s designs scream high fashion with flair. Her creations are meant to accentuate a woman’s delicate curves not matter her size, giving her confidence.

Aulgah has showcased her designs on both local and international runways.

Fiona Key’s creations are sophistication exemplified. “Every piece is the epitome of couture workmanship.” If you’re interested in couture pieces that are ready-to-wear, then Fiona Key is the place to shop.

Walji is the winner of 2017’s Heineken East Africa Fashion Design Challenge. She has showcased her designs in various places including Nigeria during the Lagos Fashion Week last year.

Walji’s designs embody a variety of concepts all which make her creations edgy and cool with a look that can only be described as elegant.
