Details have emerged of a suicide note left behind by a form three student who committed suicide inside a dormitory at Tala girl’s high school in Machakos.
Francisca Dokee, aged 16, was discovered dead at the school dormitory on August 31, 2022 by the school deputy principal Jane Katumbi.
According to a police report, the student’s body was found hanging from the roof of a dormitory raft.
The matter was reported to Tala Police Station at around 3.40 pm on Wednesday.
According to close sources Dokee had been accused by the school management that she had stolen Sh2500 and a packet of pencils.
Dokee is said to have tried to convince the school management it was not her to no avail, this prompted her to take away her own life leaving behind a suicide note.
“I explain something, you create your own. I told you guys that am not responsible for the lost pencils, but you still believe in your own instincts that I am the one,” the note read in part.
“Well, only God knows. Since I don’t want to cause more trouble in this school and make my mom suffer again because of me, let me cut off. May God bless you for always encouraging me BYE-BYE, coming to meet you Dad,” it read.
Dokee also penned down an emotional message to the mum and wished her siblings all the best in their future endeavours.
“For my mum, bye and I really love you so much. You occupy half of my heart while bro occupies another half. I hope that God may bless the work of your hands and also pray that my bro can succeed in his KCPE,” she said.
“I beg, pray, hope that you will not involve my mum in this because she can die very soon, and she still has some tasks to do for my siblings. Hope so mother.”
Magdalene Mueni, the mother to the Form Three student, has called on Education CS George Magoha to intervene in the matter with the hope of unearthing what really transpired.
Speaking to journalists after a postmortem exercise conducted at Kangundo Level 4 Hospital mortuary, Mueni said that her daughter was falsely accused of stealing because she was not informed by the School’s deputy headteacher.
