All is not lost for those who missed the just concluded invites only Africa Climate Change Summit after Docubox partnered with Nairobi county government and Kenya Film Commission staged an open air screen to educate the public climate change.
The interractive screening session was mounted at the busy city center where members of the public had a chance to learn some of the adverse effects of the climate change and the practical mitigations strategies.
Susan Mbogo, the project partnerships and fund raising manager at Docubox ,said the motive behind the open air screening and art exhibition is to include all the groups that did not have a chance to attend the summit.
She said the interractive session was also a chance to evaluate the literacy level of the nairobi residents on the climate change agenda.
“As a matter of fact not all kenyans would fit in to the climate change summit held at the KICC,but because everyone has a right of information we have forged a patnership with the county government of nairobi to bring the information closer to the people through exhibitions and screening of some the best climate change movies,” She said.
Mrs Mbogo also adviced the nairobi residents especially the youths to develop a culture of planting trees in their green spaces in homes and schools as the mark their birthdays and annversaries.

As part combating the food scarcity in the urban,Mrs Mbogo said the city dweller must adopt the sustainable smart agriculture techniques,According to Mbogo the apart from enviromental conseversation the planting edible fruits also helps in mitigation of famine.
“we only need to capitalise on the crops that works for us and engage extensively both in subsistance and commercial agriculture to combat both food scarcity and environment conversation for a better and heathy future.” she added.
