Equity Bank has donated over 35 desks to Shadrach Kimalel Primary School to boost junior secondary school learners.

Equity Bank Kibera Brach Manager Martin Mungai says that the initiative is aimed at supporting junior secondary school learners.
“We have partnered with area MP Mwalimu Peter Orero and we are going to work together to support children from slum areas when it comes to education,” said Mungai.
Mungai says that they have a lot to do to support CBC. According to Mungai Equity Bank will not only issue desk to learners but also other material items that will make CBC curriculum more comfortable.
“Some school applied for water tanks and we are going to donate since we understand CBC is more of practicals. And our Elimu scholarship is also alive we are going to support more pupils in their studies, he promised,” he said.
David Nyamu Marketing Director Equity Bank vowed to invest in education for better tomorrow.
“As Equity’s marketing director I promise to invest more in education to build tomorrow. One day we will not be there but our names will remain alive. If we invest in children then they will remember us even when we die,” said Nyamu.
Kibera area MP Mwalimu Orero applauded the organisation for investing in education.
“What I can say is that may Good God bless you for minding a child from the slum area when it comes to education. Education is a key to success. I’m very delighted for your initiative and I don’t take it for granted but I promise to partner with you to improve education in Kibera,” he said.
Equity Bank Kibera branch has actively participate in supported education in Kibera slums. Over 359 students from Kibera are being sponsored by wings to fly equity Bank program.
