Esther Musila, the wife of Kenyan gospel musician Guardian Angel, born Peter Omwaka, marked the first day she and her husband were apart since they tied the knot in January 2021.

In her social media post, Mrs Musila marked February 20, 2023, as the first day the couple spent the day apart since the covid-19 pandemic hit in late December 2019.

“Good morning, good morning, it’s a bright day. Wah! Today 20 February is going to be almost three years since I’ve worked from the office. So today is going to be my first day. The hardest part for me was leaving my dear loving husband. I mean, since covid happened, we have been together every day. So today is our first day apart. Oh, I’m going to miss you baby but someone’s got to work. So let’s see how it goes. Have a good day,” said Mrs Musila as she recorded from her car while headed to work.

Despite Guardian Angel being a celebrity, he gained much more fame for marrying an older woman. He was turning 33 on the same day he married Esther, 51, in 2021. She is also a mother of three children who are believed to be Guardian Angel’s age mates.

Esther’s Instagram note about spending the day away from her husband received varied reactions from her followers.

“Mumeniharamia bwana (You have done me wrong you people),” said Guardian Angel in his wife’s comment section.

“This is what it means to get married to your best friend👏 aki mapenzi wewe nikikushika😂😂,” added Milcah Kwamboka.

“❤️❤️good day love you beautiful our in-law😍,” said Apple Ondiso.

In another post updated two hours later, Esther Musila posted a photo of Guardian Angel and captioned it, “#mymancrusheveryday❤️.”

While it is not exactly known what job Esther Musila does, as of December 2022, it was reported that she had a career background as a banker for five years, an international civil servant with the United Nations for 18 years and as a program a manager in Lagos and Nepal where she ran water and sanitation programs.

For a while now, she has also been a digital content creator and was often seen participating in publicity activities in which her husband was involved to promote his music. She also runs a YouTube page and is active on several social media platforms.
