Manchester United will host Astana in their Europa League Group L opener on Thursday night, September 19, at Old Trafford.
United will be seeking to build on last weekend’s 1-0 win over Leicester in the Premier League to get their campaign on the continental stage off a flying start.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is expected to ring a couple of changes from the squad that defeated Leicester, with the Norwegian set to hand youngsters a rare chance to show what they can offer.
In-form winger Daniel James, Paul Pogba, Anthony Martial and Luke Shaw are all expected to miss the fixture, with James being substituted in the 89th minute against the Foxes.

Meanwhile, Solskjaer has already confirmed three starters for the clash, including Sergio Romero, Axel Tuanzebe and promising forward Mason Greenwood.
As such, Romero is expected to take David De Gea’s place between the sticks for the first time this season, with Timothy Fosu-Mensah and Tuanzebe providing cover in defense alongside veterans Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo.

Scott McTominay could be afforded a start to maintain calm in the midfield in partnership with Angel Gomes and Andreas Pereira.
Marcus Rashford is expected to lead the attackline in a front three that could include Tahith Chong and Mason Greenwood.
