Former IEBC Chair Isaack Hassan and the late IEBC ICT Manager Chris Msando’s wife are among the new appointees in government parastatals in an exercise seen to have accommodated allies of Opposition Chief Raila Odinga.

Eva Msando, the wife to slain IEBC ICT Boss Chris Msando will serve as a member of the Export Processing Zones Authority.

ICT CS Joe Mucheru has also appointed four members to The Kenya Broadcasting Corporation Board.

President Uhuru Kenyatta through a Kenyan Gazette on Friday appointed Hassan to chair the Board of the Kenya Industrial Property Institute.

Former Uasin Gishu Gubernatorial aspirant Zedekiah Bundotich was appointed to Chair the Chemelil Sugar Company Board while former Senate Speaker Ekwe Ethuro was appointed to Chair the Higher Education Loans Board.

And through the direction of the President, various cabinet secretaries also effected appointments to various boards in what is seen as accommodating allies of NASA Leader Raila Odinga and supporters of President Kenyatta in the 2017 elections who lost.

Lawyer Paul Nyamondi who has been representing the IEBC was appointed as a member to the Public Procurement Regulatory Board.

Former Rongo Parliamentary aspirant and Raila Odinga’s ally David Osiany has been appointed as a member of the Chemelil Sugar Board while former Awendo Mp and an ally of Raila Odinga Jared Kopiyo was appointed to the Sony Sugar Board.

Former Vihiga Governor Moses Akaranga has been appointed as the chairman Board of Trustees National Environment Trust Fund.

The Kenya Academy of Sports Council will have new members, decorated Rugby player Humphrey Kayange and former long-distance runner Tecla Lorupe.

NASA CEO Norman Magaya was also appointed to the Board of the Kenya Film Classification Board.

In the meantime, the Kenya Broadcasting Corporation has new board members following the gazettement of four names by CS Joe Mucheru.
