Former MP for Nyaribari Masaba constituency Dr Hezron Manduku who also served as assistant minister of Foreign Affairs in retired President Daniel Ara Moi’s government has passed on.
TUKO.co.ke on Sunday, August 11, leant Manduku died at The Nairobi Hospital on Saturday night at around 9pm.

The former legislator whose demise was confirmed by the family on Sunday morning was admitted in ICU at the Nairobi health facility days earlier but it was not immediately clear what he was ailing from.
According to his family, Dr Manduku who died at the age of 79 has been unwell for some time and was at some point wrongly reported to have passed on before his actual death.

The late Manduku was first elected to the National Assembly in 1992, beating Sam Ongeri, and served as Nyaribari Masaba MP for two terms.
Besides being a politician, Manduku was surgeon by profession and worked at a number of health facilities in Kenya including Kenyatta National Hospital and Kakamega Hospital and even founded his own private facility Hema Hospital in Kisii county.

He left behind a widow and children among them Dr Robert Manduku who has been managing the family business.
The departed Dr Manduku studied medicine at the People’s Friendship University of Russia between 1964 and 1969.
