How often do you speak to strangers or open up to people who pose as men of God. Do these people cast a spell on their targets before achieving their goals? These form part of the questions everyone’s asking after a family locked up a city pastor over the death of their kin.
Christine Tina was found dead in their home in Kiambu County on February 8.The police believe that she was killed either on 6th or 7th as her body was already decomposing upon discovery.
Investigations have yielded that she was killed by strangulation
Another key suspect that was arrested and later released was a grandson of former cabinet minister Njenga Karume who opened up to being Tina’s boyfriend.
Phone data records showed they were in constant communication for the better part of last year.
It is alleged that the deceased met the man of cloth, Mr Christopher Kiptum Keter 50 while on a Nairobi bound bus from the coastal town, Mombasa on December 19.A brother to Tina,Muchui Thambura stated that days before her sister’s demise she visited her at their Kiambu home after noticing that she had withdrawn from the family.
Muchui even met with the prime suspect whom his sister introduced as a ‘prayer partner’.A study of the CCTV footage on the day Tina lost her life shows the ‘man of God’ leaving the home trying to disguise his face.
Muchui further noted that he came across ‘cult like paraphernalia ‘ when the suspect visited their Gatongora home in Ruiru,Kiambu County.The suspect alleges that Tina called her on February 6th for prayers with the latter spending the night at the home.
The family further revealed that Tina had parted away with most of her possessions being carted away to Keter’s house in Mukuru Kwa Njenga.
Police investigations show that after spending the night at Tina’s home, the pastor traveled to Mombasa,Kwale,Tana River and back to Nairobi in what the suspect terms ‘evangelical movements’
Keter was arraigned in court on March 8th and was remanded for 14 days awaiting mention.
The promising businesswoman was buried on February 18th and her family are determined to have her killer face justice.
