Five suspected fraudsters were arrested on Sunday evening in Juja Town and Gwa Kairu area in Kiambu County with over 40,000 sim cards, several mobile phones and three laptops.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI), the suspects were also nabbed with a list of names and ID numbers.
Four of the suspects; Joseph Kuria, Joyce Kagure, George Maina and Evans Getabu, were nabbed inside a house at Jeremy Apartments in Juja town.
The fifth suspect identified as Loise Wanjiku was apprehended at Gwa Kairu area.
The suspects are in police custody pending conclusion of investigations before arraignment.
