Former Nairobi County Assembly Speaker Alex Ole Magelo has passed on at the Nairobi Hospital.
The former AFC Leopards Chairman has died after being admitted at the Nairobi hospital for weeks.
His death which was caused by a short illness was announced to the public by Kajiado County Governor Joseph Ole Lenku.
In a post on Twitter, the Kajiado Governor stated that the Maasai community and the country at large has lost a great person.
“The Maa Nation and the Country at large; It is with a heavy heart that I announce the death of one of our greatest sons and warriors of our community: ALEX OLE MAGELO after a short illness,” read Ole Lenku’s post.
Citizens and political leaders took to social media to send their message of condolence to the family.
