Former President Uhuru Kenyatta and his wife Margaret Kenyatta have today condoled with the family of late former Education Cabinet Secretary George Magoha in their Lavington home, Nairobi.
Uhuru was accompanied by Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka and some of the Cabinet Secretaries who served alongside Magoha in the previous administration.
They include former Interior CS Fred Matiang’i, Ukur Yattani (Treasury), Cabinet Secretary Eugene Wamalwa (Defence), former ICT Cabinet Secretary Joe Mucheru (ICT) and former Interior Principal Secretary Karanja Kibicho.
The former Head of State had last week asked the former CSs to form a committee to help Magoha’s family with funeral arrangements.
In his condolence message after the announcement of Magoha’s demise, Uhuru described him as a celebrated academician who leaves behind a strong legacy of public service.
Magoha died on Tuesday last week after suffering a cardiac arrest at his home.
His sudden death was received shockingly by the entire country as he was mourned as a hardworking, mission oriented public servant during his tenure at the Education ministry.
He will be buried on February 11, 2023, in Yala, Gem Constituency, Siaya county.
