Gor Mahia have reportedly signed Cameroonian striker Charles Edoa Nga.
Media reports strongly indicate that Nga could join K’Ogalo for a reported fee of KSh 2 million from Eswatini top league side Royal Leopards.
According to Times of Swaziland, the Cameroonian was also on the radar of top South African sides, Baroka FC, Polokwane City FC, Bidvest Wits FC and Young Africans Sports Club of Tanzania.
He however opted for the Kenyan Premier League over the other two African leagues.
“We had a number of offers from across Africa but we felt the Gor Mahia deal was was worth it,”Nga’s agent Samuel Kimali was quoted by the Times.
The reports, however, contradicts earlier sentiments by Gor Mahia chairman Ambrose Rachier that K’Ogola will not sign a foreign striker following the eminent departure of Jacques Tuyisenge.
The Rwandan talisman is expected to join Petro Athletico of Angola.
Nga, 29, joined Royal Leopards in January 2019 from Eding Sports of Cameroon where he scored six goals in 11 games, including a winning goal in his debut match against Manzini Sundowns.
