After giving away a cheap penalty against Tottenham Hotspur, Arsenal skipper Granit Xhaka acknowledged his mistake and thanked the home fans for their support.

Christian Eriksen handed Spurs the lead in the 10th minute as they doubled their lead five minutes from half-time after Xhaka hacked down Son Hueng-Min with Harry Kane stepping up to score the penalty. Alexandre Lacazatte pulled one back just before half time while Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang drew Arsenal level in the 71st minute.

Xhaka took to Instagram following the draw against arch-rivals Spurs and posted the following message, “Thanks for the amazing support inside the Emirates. We showed a lot of character and you helped us to come back into the game. For the penalty I made a mistake – I’m of course angry about it but I will never give up!”
