Harambee Stars head coach Sébastien Migné has named a 21-man final squad that will face Ethiopia in a two-legged 2019 Africa Cup of Nations Qualifier in October.

The squad is largely comprised of players who took part in Kenya’s back to back 1-0 wins over Ghana and Malawi in September.

Captain Victor Wanyama, Brian Mandela and Paul Were who missed the two encounters have also been called up.

Coach Migné has also named nine players in a standby reserve list in case of injuries to any of the players originally called up.

Harambee Stars will take on Ethiopia in Bahir Dar town on October 10, before playing hosting the return leg three days later at Kasarani.

Kenya is ranked second in group ‘F’ behind Ghana.

Ethiopia and Sierra Leone occupy positions 3 and 4, respectively but all the four teams have three points each from two games played so far.

Elsewhere, holders AFC Leopards will take on Sofapaka in a first of the two FKF shield semifinal matches this Sunday at Kasarani stadium in Nairobi.

“Ingwe” will be seeking to clinch their 11th Shield crown and a third one in the last five years while Sofapaka will be going for their first ever Shield title in five years since winning it last in 2013.

The clash is scheduled to kick off at 3pm and will be preceded by another semifinal duel pitting Ulinzi Stars against Kariobangi Sharks and both vying for their maiden diadem.

The final is scheduled for October 20th with the winner pocketing Ksh two million and will clinch a ticket to represent the country at next year’s Africa Confederations Cup competition.
