Procrastination is a trap that many of us fall into; it is often confused with laziness but is completely different as it is an active choice. Hesitating and postponing eats into time and can result in missed opportunities, leading to feelings of stress, regret, helplessness and self-doubt.

These four tips can help you manage procrastination:

1. Unlearn bad habits; like anything, procrastination can become habitual. Creating habits around organisation and planning can help you prioritise jobs.

2. Create to-do lists in order to prioritise different tasks.

3. Schedule meetings with herself so you do not have to create time in your day to do active work.

4. Create a personal vision to focus your skills and priorities.
