Controversial comedian turned Eric Omondi was today arraigned in court to answer other charge of allegedly erecting a barrier and in the middle of the road.
Obstruction
According to the prosecution document, barrier erected by the funnyman caused obstruction and inconvenienced other road users.
It is recorded that Omondi committed the offence yesterday 3rd April 2023 along Kenyatta Avenue within Nairobi Central Business District.
Eric however denied the allegations before trial Magistrate Zainabu Abdul and was released on a Ksh. 5,000 cash bail.
Earlier the defence lawyer Danstan Omari, pleaded with the court to grant the accused person lenient bail terms
“Your honour, I plead with you to grant my client on lenient terms… so that he can continue with his job of online content creation,” Omari said.
How Loud Was Eric?
The tough-talking lawyer told the court that he would like the prosecution to produce measured decibels of the noise when the comedian staged the drama.
Habitual Disturbance
Last week, Eric was caught in yet another drama when he pulled a cart on a road leading to statehouse purportedly stuffed with CVs from jobless youths. He was apprehended by police and later released.
