Betty Kyallo is out here making money moves and we are here to clap and celebrate her new ventures when it comes to business.
So we know she has a salon, Flair By Betty that came up after she had a disagreement with her then-partner, Susan Kaittany under, Posh Palace. The beef was so heated it went on for months with one nasty throw after the other.
Two years later, Posh is still thriving and Flair is picking up.
Betty Kyallo started a YouTube channel and her first video was of her announcing she is moving Flair to a bigger and better location. She said that she has taken a chill on making the move because of corona but she has decided to carry on with the project and take precaution.
“I decided to take a chill with Flair By Betty after Corona came into Kenya. I was scared because our services are very personal and so I took precautions. But looking back I shouldn’t have closed it we should have just taken the necessary preactions. Because I was forced to pay my staff off my pocket and it was so tough. So the lesson I learned is you do not have to fear just strategize. Clients have started coming back and I am happy about that. Get with it do not stop things especially business because corona is here with us just take caution.” Betty said.
Adding that leaving Posh Palaced left many clients come at her for moving to a smaller place and those words hurt.
When I left Posh Palace and opened Flair clients kept saying ‘ooh this place is smaller than the other one’ and at that time these words hurt but now I understand they were people being brutal and honest even though it was not the right way to say it to someone who has worked hard to make such steps.
Now Betty says she is smarter and proud of the steps she has taken when it comes to her business.
“Now here we go, two and a half years later I have moved to a location that is three times bigger. I can’t believe this. I am even getting emotional. I remember how we came to this place it was the happiest time of my business life. I was coming to be on my own without a partnership. I was going to be the boss and here I am. I was young so I did not know the world can be tough and so rough and that business can be hard and fulfilling. Here we are moving to a new bigger place with bigger opportunities for my clients. I was so so scared of making this step and start this place.
Have faith and be patient as an entrepreneur is a piece of advice I will give.” Betty revealed
