Johnson Sakaja Takes Oath as Fourth Nairobi Governor – GhettoRadio 89.5 FM

Johnson Author Sakaja has taken oath of office as the fourth governor of Nairobi an occasion graced by president elect William Ruto.

Sakaja promised to deliver on his manifesto factoring unemployment, water shortage, improved service delivery as he takes over the mantle.

“From Kayole to Langata Nairobi is full of vibrant people and what we need is a working culture, a city of hope we can make Nairobi work again, to,” Sakaja said in his address.

Sakaja asked political leaders to work closely with him despite their political affiliation for betterment of the city.

“I want to thank former leaders and we aspire to take it to  higher heights and to the citizen of Nairobi they proved  our aspirations and we voted across tribal lines…and truly showed what they need…by today a youth  in Kibra, Mathare, Dandora, Roysambu can now say  it was a dream….my target will focus on common Nairobian at large there is no masaai hunger no akamba potholes we jirani Yako ndio ndugu Yako,mko mbele tu sana,” Sakaja stated.

He further pledged to deal with hawkers menace and ensure Nairobi CBD is orderly.

“The days of chasing hawkers all over is over we shall give people opportunity to thrive and make something for themselves that Nairobi we want. Nairobi must be open for business. The playing field is a city without a second class citizen that no child should  go hungry, that no family and patient will endure illness because there is no  medical attention. Today we commit to deliver to Nairobians..it will not be easy.
